Welcome to 2025!

New Year’s Resolutions for Photographers

As the year turns, it’s the perfect time to reflect and set goals for our photography journey. Here are some resolutions to inspire your creativity and growth in 2025.

Plan a Trip – Get Out There!

Planning trips is an exciting part of photography. Research new destinations or revisit familiar spots with fresh perspectives. Scheduling a trip gives you something to look forward to and keeps your passion alive, even when you’re not shooting. Whether it’s capturing landscapes or chasing the northern lights, make it happen this year.

Improve Your Post-Processing

Mastering post-processing is key to creating impactful images. While it may seem daunting, dedicating time to programs like Lightroom and Photoshop will elevate your work. Break the learning curve, and soon you'll be enhancing your creative vision with ease.

Try Something New

Step out of your comfort zone. Experiment with new gear, lenses, filters, or even printing your work. Challenge yourself with different genres or techniques to expand your artistic horizons.

Treat Yourself

While gear isn’t everything, it can inspire and reignite your passion. If upgrading your equipment excites you and fits your budget, go for it. Balance this with experiences like trips, which often have a greater impact on your growth.

Say ‘Yes’ More Often

Embrace opportunities that push you creatively, even if they feel risky or out of your comfort zone. Whether it’s a new technique, style, or trip, saying “yes” can lead to breakthroughs and memorable moments.

Expand Your Passion

Focus on becoming the best photographer you can be by learning daily. Read articles, watch tutorials, and immerse yourself in the work of others. Progress may feel slow, but small, consistent efforts lead to big improvements.

Make 2025 your best year yet!
Set goals, plan how to achieve them, and consider workshops to refine your skills. Many of our 2025 workshops are fully booked, but we’re excited to share new opportunities for 2026. Secure your spot early to avoid missing out.

Here’s to a year of growth, creativity, and unforgettable moments behind the lens!

Kind regards,
Wendy
